COVID-19 Marmot Re-opening Phase

Phase 2
(June 1, 2020)
Office Operations:

  • A maximum of 6 employees will be allowed in the office at a time.
  • Safe distancing must be observed in work and common areas.  Employees within 6 feet of each other should wear a mask.  For employees wishing to work predominantly in the office, it is imperative that they arrange their desk location with more than 6 feet separation from each other or from walkthrough areas (such as the kitchen or the path to the restrooms).
  • Employees who can effectively remain working from home are encouraged to continue.
  • Marmot employees will follow local municipal orders when stricter.

On-site work:

  • Allowed when necessary to complete projects that are important to the libraries’ operations and service changes related to COVID-19.  Examples of important operations for which on-site work is allowable are:
    • Data room critical failures
    • Workstations additions required to allow staff to work effectively
    • Workstation replacements that fall within safety guidelines
    • Equipment rearranging/modification that enables libraries to expand patron services while complying with COVID-19 safety guidelines.
  • Time spent on-site will be minimized, and will be limited to only what cannot be done remotely.
  • Non-critical projects will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine if it can be done safely.  Safety considerations include distance, status of the library being open to the public. On-site work may be performed after hours to maintain social distancing guidelines.
  • Marmot staff traveling to libraries will coordinate with library staff to plan for safe distancing while on-site.
  • Remote workers will coordinate to complete computer replacement tasks after the equipment is physically in place. The number of library staff present should be minimized.
