New Functionality

  • Record Grouping
    • Make language of title a grouping factor (Minute 00:36)
      • Derived from 008 language code

 

  • For Sierra systems, will fallback to Sierra language fixed field if the 008 value is invalid.

  • Grouping Category improvements (Minute 2:27)
    • Use corresponding format determination methods for grouping category determination
    • Make a new grouping category for graphic novels & comics
      • Special handling for overdrive graphic novels so that they group appropriately

  • Implemented translation maps for grouping categories so that grouping categories can be updated and adjusted

    • Grouped Work URLs with the previous version IDs will generally redirect to the new version grouped work page
    • User generated data will be updated with new grouped work ids.

  • Prevent deletion of user when removing Pika roles (Minute 33:21)
  • OverDrive checkout attempts that fail will prompt the user to place a hold on the title instead (Minute 18:19)
