Building Your Brand of Leadership

Workshop participants will unpack the core of their leadership – what motivates them, what connects them to those they lead, and where they fall on the servant to traditional leadership spectrum. Each participant will leave the session with their leadership brand and vision statement and a way to apply their learning going forward.

Virtual Reference Services: A Journal of the Plague Year

Closures due to the COVID-19 Outbreak have revealed all manner of obstacles and opportunities for Reference Departments. As access to our physical collections became limited, an increased awareness and enthusiasm for our digital offerings was observed. This session will include best practices for providing reference and technology assistance over the phone and while working remotely. Special attention will be paid to eContent, subscription databases, and public awareness of other library resources.

Using Microsoft Word Outline View and Styles to Write Reports, Papers, Procedures, etc.

Oliver will talk about “Outline View” is one of the several “View” options in Microsoft Word. It is a helpful way to focus on the structure of a document. “You can use Outline View to create or edit headings, adjust heading levels, and rearrange the content until everything is right where you want it” (Office Help). In other words, you can use it to organize random notes into categories, but also easily create and edit Table of Contents, ease document navigation, and makes the document overall more uniform in its look.

Activating Learning: Applying "Aha's" to Your Library

Group think session to brainstorm how best to transfer the learning from the week into tangible practices with teams and communities. A chance to summarize and synthesize all the “aha” moments and to create space for an action plan on next steps for you and your team.

MUG Registration - MUG will be a multi-day conference but you can pick and choose which session you want to attend. Registered attendees will receive an email with the online Zoom links for all the MUG sessions.
