April 02, 2019
Minutes

Discussion topics

  • Status of Ticket Prioritization
    • Marmot has gotten everyone’s feedback
    • Marmot has taken the favorites and requested tickets and put them into a spreadsheet
    • The Software Development team will meet with the Executive Director in April to discuss detailed decisions on the requests
  • Hoopla Integration Review
    • Patron Interactions
      • Checkout Hoopla button in place of ‘Access Online’
      • Checkout titles directly from catalog
      • Hoopla titles will display in checkouts and reading history
    • Questions from the Group:
      • Q: Hoopla will still be "under" any matching OverDrive records (even if OverDrive is not immediately available), and you would have to expand to see the Hoopla button?
      • A: For now.  Part of the integration will be to decide by source you want displayed, and that will show in the primary button.
      • Q: The OverDrive integration has the ability to download a checkout, will Hoopla have the download option down the road, or does their API even allow it?
      • A: Hoopla download is not in their existing API.
    • Notes on Hoopla Data Extract
      • Will continue to use traditional MARC records from Hoopla that are delivered once a month
        • There is no real-time connectivity to Hoopla’s holdings
      • Hoopla integration will display additional information in records
        • ‘Hoopla Extract Information’
      • Suppression by price is available with this release but will be applied to all material types (kind)
        • There will be additional suppression options offered by type (kind) and price

Other Topics

  • Creativebug - Ashley is waiting for MARC records
  • Acorn via RBdigital
  • myTurn
