New Functionality

  • Hoopla Integration
    • All Econtent record views based on MARC data will display the 300 field ‘physical description’
      • Useful because the description often says how long a title plays. ( eg. A movie is 98 minutes long)
      • Is labeled “Content Description”

  • The “Physical Descriptions” setting needs to be turned on in order of the “Content Description” label to display.

  • Settings by “kind” (hoopla formats)
    • Anything marked as inactive in the Hoopla extract data will be excluded from Hoopla results.
    • Maximum price

 

  • Exclude parental advisory titles
    • “MUSIC” type

                

  • Exclude profanity titles
    • Not very many titles have this marked, but some EBOOK and MUSIC

  • Include only children’s titles
    • ~63,000 titles marked as children’s

  • The Staff View shows the display of the price, active, pa, profanity, and children for all the features listed above.

 

  • Library & Location level settings
    • Library settings will be in-effect for locations unless the location has its own settings in place
      • Location has a copy from library button

 

  • Indexing Standardization (replacing customized indexing routines)
    • Bib-level format determination
      • Marmot format determination
      • MatType determination
        • Will use the format, format category, and format boost maps
        • Exclude matType values
        • Falls back to the Marmot format determination when there isn’t a matType value for a bib or the value is excluded

  • Admin Features
    • Translation maps now how the javascript tablesorter enabled so that specific values can be found more easily

  • P-type “label” field to identify patron types.

 

        

  • Aurora Implementation
    • Production server spun up
    • For indexing, implemented matType format determination
    • Hoopla, Kanopy sideload set up
    • Implemented Opac Mode using IP addresses
    • Fixed parsing of screen-scraping for My Fines page
  • Sidebar links can now contain more HTML content
    • Easter Egg: Advanced editor for sidebar links.

  • Widgets can display in sidebar links
  • NYT user list creation will now use the primary isbn data from the NYT best seller API if the expected ISBNs data is not present.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed ‘Renew All’ for Sacramento
  • Edit Browse Category Page will now require the “text_id” field to ensure that the edited browse category will function correctly.

  • Patch : Linked patrons for Sacramento were not displaying checkouts and holds - only displaying for primary user. Now primary user account will show linked accounts’ checkouts and holds
  • Patch : prevent Overdrive indexing error when series title is too long (over 215 characters)

Sideloads

  • Ebrary/Proquest for Broomfield
    • Fixed URL replacement settings for proxy links for Ebrary econtent for Broomfield and Boulder
    • New records added for Broomfield
  • Creative Bug

Additional Work

  • For Addison indexing, format determination will be switched to the standard matType method shown in the indexing profile rather than custom coded routine.
  • Pulled 2018 page view analytics for Marmot subdomains using Google Data Studio.
