New Functionality

  • User Lists (Minute 8:44)
    • Delete multiple lists on My Lists page

  • Format facet value for user lists will now be “List” instead of “list” 
  • List cover view in search results and My Lists page

  • When adding multiple titles to a list, the previously added to list will appear first in the list selection dropdown for subsequent ‘add to list’ pop-ups

  • eContent Format Manifestation Display (Minute 14:52)

    • eContent formats are now broken out by the eContent Source

 

  • Fines amount now displays in badge in the sidebar MyAccount menu (Minute 12:42)

    

  • Handling new OverDrive Magazine checkout process (Minute 21:05)

    • Single Record for a magazine for search

  • Individual issues checkout need to be associated with the single record above for good display within Pika

  • No loan period option available through the OverDrive API

  • Staff ptype settings moved to Pika PTypes table (Minute 3:58)

   

  • Sierra: Load ptypes from Sierra DNA

    • Populates Pika table with the PType labels and max hold settings.

    • Only Opac Admins will have access to load the ptypes. Here is a list of the Pika roles. You can see what roles you have under the Account Settings and Staff Settings.

 

  • Staff Ptypes is what enables a couple special user permissions for staff most notably the auto login bypass on the  Staff Setting located under the Account Settings. This setting should be used when you are physically in your library building and working from a known network entered into Pika. Sometimes you will get logged out if this setting is not toggled off.

  

 

  • Javascript Library Upgrade (Minute 22:35)

    • Underlying jQuery library upgraded

    • New HTML editor

  • HTML Table sorter and paginator

  • Recommended For You suggestions will exclude titles that appear in the user’s Reading History (Minute 19:09)

    • Only reading history entries that are associated with a grouped work. Eg. ILL reading history entries will not impact suggestions list.

  • Board book format determination (Minute 15:47)

    • When Using the default Marmot format determination

    • Looks at the fields 250, 500, 650, 655

  • Developer System Messages will display along with library system messages now

Bug Fixes

  • Call numbers displaying only volume information for some libraries (Minute 25:33)

  • Corrected display behavior for when an “Available At” facet selected (Minute 29:00)

  • Display of facet values that have the identical label only differing in capitalization (Minute 27:30)

    • Eg “history” vs “HISTORY”

  • Fixed sharing User Lists to Twitter
  • Fixed the displaying of the table of contents for Archive Compound Objects in the Explore More sidebar
  • Fixed creating browse category from search drive Pika Author page
  • Sirsi ROA: Fix for logins with wrong PIN (Minute 2:46)
  • Fixed error when duplicating library settings (Minute 3:10)
  • Fixed error saving library settings when self registration setting aren’t used(Minute 3:10)
  • WSJ links display library location display name when coming from a known network
