Pika Release Notes 2022.04.0

New Functionality

• Repeat search options in alternate overdrive libraries. eg. kids reading rooms, etc (Minute 24:43)

• OverDrive urls of form [Overdrive site]/library/[alternate library] eg. https://marmot.overdrive.com/library/kids

• Input the url part of the alternate library in the Repeat In Alternate Overdrive Libraries setting eg. kids

• Multiple options can be entered by separating with the pipe character | eg. kids|teens

• Digital Archive - Compound objects with audio player parts will display the audio player at full width to make time selecting easier
• Sidebar link urls can now be up to 400 characters long, up from 255
• Pika Time to Reshelve added setting to specific which status code should be overridden (Minute 30:11)

• User list citations
  • Correction for pagination and sorting issues
• Moved ILS full export minimum file size checking to the record grouping process (Minute 34:11)
  • This retains preventing a potentially incomplete export from causing an incomplete index, but allows the regular nightly indexing to still occur. (Previously the full update process skips grouping and indexing due to under-sized full export file
  • Only applies to sites delivering a nightly full export
    • However, doesn’t apply to AACPL  due to order record handling

Bug Fixes

• Fixed displaying the NY Times lists on the NYTLists admin page
• Masquerade mode handling for libraries with PIN
  • If a user has never logged in, hasn't logged in since pin update, or doesn't have the correct pin stored in pika, masquerade mode will not work.
  • Please note, PINS are stored encrypted in PIka and we are not able to retrieve pins for users. (Minute 36:00)(Minute 39:36)
• Stop timeout on archive compound objects while video/audio is playing

Sideloads

• Set up MLN2 libraries with unique FTP accounts for sideloading needs

Additional Work

• Add a link to Linked Accounts documentation to the Linked Accounts section of the Account Settings page. (Minute 36:29)

• Updated Northern Water Self_Registration email template
• Updated Sacramento wording for Username Info
• Reworked handling for fetching Hoopla MARC data from their new sftp server
