Union Catalog Committee Meeting Agenda – December 9, 2015

NEW BUSINESS:

• SkyRiver – (per JT email) SkyRiver(SR) renewals as follows (with responses):
  • 4/1 – EPL – Selene – TBD (on call but needs more time for review)
  • 4/1 – MCPLD – Betsey – SR is good
  • 4/1 – GR – Sarah Greenberg – TBD (not on call)
  • 4/1 – SRL – Becky/Kristen – TBD (not on call)
  • 4/1 – SU – Sarah Nordholm – SR is good
  • 4/1 – VPL – Jo Norris – SR is OK but some records are unavailable so must create from OCLC
  • 7/1 – CMC – Amy Curry – SR is good
  • 7/1 – AD – TBD (not on call) 
  • 7/1 – PV – TBD (not on call)
  • 7/1 – SS – Emily – SR needs to be discussed with SSB
  • 8/1 – ES – TBD (not on call)
  • 12/1 – BV – TBD (not on call, has another year to decide)
• Lloyd Chittenden to be on board Marmot in January, will address issues referred to in these minutes.
• Melissa Powell received about 10 responses including info of which schools were unaware.
• Lloyd brought up fact that when records are brought in from another Z39.50 system, i.e. Prospector, Inn-Reach, etc., 001’s on catalog records were being stripped out. 
• Brandon Cole will check Z39.50 targets.
• The only one we need is OCLC WorldCat.
• Emily Veenstra-Ott pointed out that dups are occurring whether or SkyRiver is used.
• Jimmy – need smart pre-process for SkyRiver and/or OCLC.
• Mark N./Lloyd C. discussion.
• Jimmy / Lloyd - will bring issues to SkyRiver (Jodi)
• Lloyd – LTI complete overhaul needed to learn what has been deleted, send them newly cataloged records, authority record changes, LTI sends notifications.
• Jo Norris – Georgia said we could use both 001’s but Sierra can’t have 2 001’s, perhaps use 035/019 fields? *Lloyd to scan catalog or CreateList, etc.
• Brandon to contact absentees on this call regarding SkyRiver input.
• Brandon saw MKs task list, was it completed?, contact Marsha at LTI. (AUP/AEX)
• Brandon – contact Mark re Zepheira demo.
