    • New manga subgenres, shonen, shojo, etc.
    • Update on the complaint from World Jewish Congress
      • Complaint is that holocaust denier lit is classed with legit holocaust lit
        • Not really mixed together, but too close together
      • They looked at the Ukrainian holodomor also
      • Decided to move the section for denialism of the Ukrainian holodomor, but not the holocaust
    • Discussion of the "question question." I.e. "The Jewish Question," and "The Palestine Question." Is this universally derogatory? Maybe there are some legit uses?
  • Overlay priority load profile. Can we change older records with encoding level 5?

FOLIO Updates

  • Workflows
    • TAMU finished first sprint
  • Metadata Management
    • The Germans are developing a random number generator function which could be used for Inventory accession numbers, call numbers, barcodes, request numbers, serials pattern ID numbers, vendor codes.
    • New serials management app in Quesnelia release. It will allow you to create and edit subscriptions. Create prediction patterns. Create a set of scheduled pieces for a serial based on the prediction pattern.
    • Discussion of how to handle alternate scripts, like in the 880s
  • QuickMARC
    • Tenants will not be able to change fixed field validation rules. Changes to those rules will come with flower releases.
    • Discussion of how to deal with literal dollar signs in MARC records.
      • $ is now a subfield delimiter
      • They will probably use {dollar} like in MarcEdit
  • Product Council
    • Discussion of Direct Consortial Borrowing (DCB)
    • The FOLIO INNReach module is not being replaced by DCB. FOLIO will be able to work with either OpenRS or INNReach
    • DCB and INNReach function very differently in the background even though they do the same thing, so they should not interfere with each other.
    • OpenRS is the platform that includes DCB and other functions. DCB is the part that manages returnables.
    • Enhanced Consortial Support (ECS) setup would use OpenRS for returnables between FOLIO tenants in a single consortium.
