Terminology
Admin/Settings - Settings options are grouped on tabs.  Each function offers Setting tabs specific to the actions it performs.  This is where the Record Templates tab is located.
Always prompt for template - The system prompts you to select a template for each new record you create.
Loan Rule Table - Defines the parameters that Sierra uses for circulating items to patrons.  Each loan rule consists of a set of variables that govern many aspects of circulation, which are all configured either entirely or in part by the settings of your library’s loan rules.
Prompt for template - The system prompts you to select from a list of templates when you start the new record session. Available templates appear in alphabetical order by template code. This template remains in effect for the duration of the session.
Record Templates - A template defines the information that will be included in a new record. Record templates are available for every Sierra record type and a template must be defined for a record type in order to create a record. Record templates are used to create bibliographic records, item records, and patron records.
