- Prioritizing top three E-Content sources for account integration to check out items through Pika
- R & D will be working on E-Content improvements before they work on search bugs
-
Bento Box Homepage
- This is a special separate homepage or a different style of homepage that is most prominent in academic libraries
- Any library is welcome to use it
- Starting this release
- Go to the Villanova Library to see an example of a Bento Box. Do a search to see how it displays content.
-
Virtualize Marmot and Aspencat Production Servers (Mercury Server)
- Starting this release
- This is normal maintenance that will take a good amount of time
- Provide good improvements for things like disaster recovery and backups
Other Completed Work:
-
Extensive performance enhancements
- Please use the test system for your unusual patrons and use the test system for them. Test to make sure things will work for those patrons.
- Let R & D know immediately if you see things that are not normal, so they have time to fix it.
- The release is delayed until Wednesday, November 15, so you can use the test system to any issues that need to be addressed.
Conversation topic:
-
Review first step mockup for eContent search integration
- Jordan showed a mockup of how eContent would look in search results (example, OverDrive, Hoopla, RBdigitial).
- Jordan requested volunteers to meet for a discussion about fleshing out the specification for eContent search integration.
- R & D would like to separate out all the eContent sources so they each show up on their own line in the search.
- The topic for discussion is the order of sources (for example, should they be alphabetical, should libraries be able to arrange them).
