Training Description
This training is designed to provide library staff with a basic understanding of the Sierra Circulation Functions of Check Out (Circulation Desk), Renew (No Patron), Search/Holds, and Check In (No Patron). The training outline is a list of the areas that will be shown and discussed during training. At the end of the training you should have a better understanding of how to check out items to patrons; how to change the item due date; how fines are displayed in a patron’s record; how to see holds on a patron’s account; how to renew an item without using the patron’s record; how to use the Search/Holds function to search for items, as well as viewing items that are on hold, or checked out to a patron; how to check-in items. The training exercises may help to reinforce the training.
