Brainfuse Demo Discussion (Tammy)
- The pricing list was shown during the meeting. The pricing spreadsheet was shared by email.
- Tammy asked if people were interested in moving forward with this product.
- The representative did agree to include Garfield and Mesa County in the group pricing.
- Action item: Anyone who responded that they were interested, Tammy will share their information with the Brainfuse rep.
OverDrive Consortium Content Credit Discussion (Tammy)
- $3,321.80 is available to spend on content.
- Credit from OverDrive video credit, adjustment content credit, RBdigital transfer credits, and free content credit.
- In the past, the money was used to buy down the shared high-level holds.
- Action item: Tammy will come up with a list of titles for people to vote for the ones to purchase with the funds.
New Database Interest (Adam)
- A spreadsheet was shared that asked members to add if they would like a demo, pricing, trial, or NI (not interested) for each database. The spreadsheet was shared by email.
- Adam shared that the spreadsheet with a range of electronic resources that have come across our radar at Marmot.
- Adam wants to make sure that we are being member-driven on where we look at some potential eResources that we try to negotiate for you.
- These are in addition to the items that were on the original Potential Vendor Voting spreadsheet.
- Please take a few minutes and go through the spreadsheet and add your interest level for these items.
- Tammy asked the group to look at the product available for Newsbank because she has a rep who can do a demo.
- Jo asked what should people put if they have the product and would be interested in a group purchase?
- Jo suggested using the term “have” if you already have the product.
- Tammy mentioned that if there is a vendor that we reviewed during a past meeting and you might be interested now, please add your interest in the spreadsheet.
- Action item: Tammy will add the word “Have” to the spreadsheet to denote that a member already has the product but would be interested in a group rate.
Other Business
- OverDrive Advantage Weeding (Tammy)
- The bugs have been worked out at the Advantage weeding for anyone who wants to give it a try, or you can wait for the July 12th meeting to ask Stephanie Everett (OverDrive) the best way to use this new feature.
- The holds on the expired metered access titles will also be taken care of with this new feature. We will make sure to ask Stephanie to cover this issue as well.
- New York Times (NYT) for Public Libraries (Adam)
- Adam has sent out the NYT invoices for all the public libraries. Sometime in the next year, we will revisit the renewal process. Adam shared a stat sheet showing the cost per circ for the NYT.
