- Proposal for Islandora migration/upgrade is in hand and pending

- Pika is largely up and running from an accessibility standpoint.
- .PDFs in the Archive are not generally accessible, so that will need mitigation in the future.
- Will still need to work on audio/video transcription.
- Large image viewer also exhibits limitations, but we will wait until the migration is complete or in progress.
- Pika release notes provide more detail re: Accessibility.
- Audio + .PDF appear to be the most popular Compound Object Combos.
- ArchiveSpace is currently being used to manage the archive for end users, and on the backend for archive-processing. Suitable for digital AND physical archive management.
- ArchiveSpace also permits ingest via .CSV
- Also permits linking to the digital object itself, lists of all collections--even the unprocessed or currently unavailable.
- From a staff standpoint, it also allows one to create finding aids, regardless of description level.
- Includes additional description capabilities for physical collections, like housing information.
- Tracks collection progress through "Events."
- Provides insight into the state of the collections--both at high level, and detailed level.
- .PDF accessibility standards can be met using the appropriate tool in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
