New Functionality

  • MLN1 Patron Password Implementation (Minute 4:03)
    • Pre-populate Pika database with default passwords to make using masquerade easier for Library staff
    • Add notice for Sierra’s “Trival Pin” requirements

    

  • Show specific Self-Registration errors to users when the error is reported from the API instead of generic error message. (eg “Trivial Pin” error) (Minute 6:16)

 

  • User Admin action for duplicate barcode user accounts in Pika (with different ILS id numbers (eg patron record number)) (Minute 7:11)

    

  • Displays some basic information for each user to aid determining if there is duplication
  • Display counts for any user-generated data associated with the user account. ie user lists, ratings, etc

 

  • For Pika sites, using the Bib method for Format determination, format determination is improved for Physical Object records where the leader position 6 is a value of R (Minute 9:41

  • For Symphony Libraries (Sirsi) eg AACPL, the preferred name if populated for the user in the API, will replace the patron display name in Pika
    • Ignoring the library setting "Patron Display Name Style"

Bug Fixes

  • More specific masquerade mode error messages to help diagnosing issues with masquerading
  • For Sierra Booking, fix screen scraping error related to MLN1 patron password implementation (Minute 10:55)
