Curriculum Working Meeting
Minutes for 07/20/2022
  • The Roles and Responsibility document was reviewed for any new member. The process was explained that occurred during early Curriculum Working meetings when the group decided what library staff roles and what responsibilities would warrant documentation. 
  • The Curriculum levels spreadsheet allowed the group to vote to put the documentation in order of levels 1 - 4. These levels are used to decide the order of documentation for the current roles and future roles located in the Knowledge Base.
  • The training for all roles spreadsheet was created to capture all the responsibilities and current documentation. This spreadsheet also contains the missing documentation that needs to be created. This spreadsheet is used to help create the outline for each role.
  • The Knowledge Base Roles and Associated Curriculum page were shown along with the current roles that have been created.
  • The group was asked to review the Circulation Desk Staff role and the Branch Manager role.
Meeting Discussion
  • While showing the Roles and Associated Curriculum page there was a discussion about how the roles are listed. Adam suggested adding categories such as administration and public only and academic only roles.
  • Every time a role is created, Tammy will share it with the group to review.
  • Adam would like the next step to be working with HR managers and supervisors at the libraries when they are hiring a new person who can work with us to specify the training resources relevant to that position. This could also be for a performance approval plan for struggling employees.  Adam thinks these roles are going to have a lot to offer as a resource for supervisors.

Action Item: The Roles and Associated Curriculum page will be designed with categories for administration, and public vs academic roles.
