Digital Archive
The Marmot Digital Archive assists libraries in building integrated digital collections relevant to their communities.
Powered by the popular open source archive system Islandora, the Marmot Digital Archive allows libraries to ingest all types of digital content including:
- Images
- Postcards
- Books
- Magazines
- Audio files (including music and oral histories)
- Videos
- PDFs
- Academic Research
To make entering information easier and to leverage the work of libraries across the state, we share information about people, places, and events between libraries.
Patrons use Pika to discover relevant content from the archive which means they don't need to learn how to use new content silos.
Libraries can also customize exhibit pages to showcase items in their collections. Exhibit pages can be: simple pages showing the content of the collection; pages that allow browsing the collection by a map; image maps that allow exploring the collection by clicking on regions within the image; or configurable pages that allow patrons to interact with the collection in various ways.
